Definition. Culture is the expression of a society or group's beliefs, values, traditions, and opinions. It's a complex whole that includes the material objects, behaviors, and shared ideas of a society's members. 

ComponentsCulture has two main components: material and non-material. Material culture includes physical objects like food, clothing, and household goods. Non-material culture includes ideas, beliefs, values, and thoughts. 

Characteristics Culture is learned, shared, symbolic, integrated, and dynamic. It's not inherited or innate, but rather learned from others. Culture uses symbols to communicate, and language is its most important symbolic aspect.
